BREEDING AND REARING STAGE

  • The breeding process consists of the purchase of a heifer with a guaranteed pregnancy.
 
  • Within 4 months of investment, the heifer calves a calf (male or female).
 
  • Then, 6 months after birth, the approximately 180 kg animal is weaned.
 
  • Subsequently, it is decided whether to sell the calves or to carry out a rebreeding or fattening cycle. 
  • Sale: If the sale takes place, the profit from the breeding process is obtained.
  • Fattening: The calf is kept for a fattening cycle for later sale.
  • Re Cria: The investor has the possibility to keep the females to be used again as mothers.

What happens to the heifer that I bought initially? That heifer that gave birth to that calf will be inseminated again and start a new production cycle.
